چکیده

The research progresses in static and dynamics tests, constitutive models, interface elements, model tests and field tests of pile soil interface are summarized, and the problems and deficiencies in the current research are analyzed. It is pointed out that research on the dynamic characteristics of pile soil interface widely seen in practical engineering are in lack. Especially, big size experimental instruments which can realize different loading methods to research the complex dynamic characteristics should be developed. More suitable constitutive model should be developed to describe the complex mechanical behaviors under complex stress conditions and different stress paths, and the interface element should be improved. In order to intensively and systematically study the microscopic deformation mechanism, it is necessary to seek a suitable method so as to clarify the mechanism fits mechanical properties. Research on static and dynamic characteristics of interface between piles and problematic soils should be carried out to improve the reliability of pile foundation under complex geological conditions.

Evaluation of Static and Dynamic Methods for Determining the Bearing Capacity of the Driven Pipe Piles (TECHNICAL NOTE)

Determination of the pile capacity is always a major concern for the safe geotechnical engineering design. Different direct and indirect methods have been proposed for determining pile bearing capacity such as static and dynamic approaches. Each method depends on the condition of the soil and type of pile as well as accessibility to necessary information. In this study bearing capacity of drive...

Numerical simulation of liquefaction susceptibility of soil interacting by single pile

Previous case histories have shown that soil liquefaction severely damaged many structures supported on pile foundations during earthquakes. As a result, evaluating the potential for instability is an important consideration for the safe and resistant design of deep foundation against earthquakes. In this study, the liquefaction susceptibility of saturated sand interacting by single concrete pi...

Dynamic Analysis of Embankments Reinforced with Micro-Piles

Application of micro-piles to stabilize unstable slopes has been widely considered in recent years. A micro-pile is a small-diameter (typically less than 300 mm), drilled, and grouted as non-displacement pile that is typically reinforced. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the influence of the micro-pile group on increasing safety factor as well as finding the optimum position of m...

Numerical Simulation of Piles Subjected To Lateral Spreading and Comparison with Shaking Table Results

Pile foundations are relatively vulnerable to lateral loads. During liquefaction-induced lateral spreading, this vulnerability is particularly conspicuous due to a loss of strength and stiffness in the liquefied soil. A nonlinear effective stress analysis incorporating an elastoplastic constitutive model based on Finite Difference Method (FLAC2D program) was used to numerically simulate shake t...

Nonlinear Soil - Pile - Structure Interaction in Dynamic or Seismic Response

The stiffness and damping of pile foundations are proposed, which vary with the ratio of shear modulus Gi / Go to indicate the nonlinear properties of soil. The range of Gi / Go is defined with different vibration intensities for applications, and a computer program DYNAN is available based on the boundary zone model with non-reflective interface. Two engineering cases are studied to illustrate...
